“The opening of the Bechtel Craft Professional Recruitment Center marks a significant milestone in our commitment to the Rio Grande Valley community and the Rio Grande LNG project,” said Scott Osborne, Bechtel’s Senior Project Manager. “This center will play a crucial role in ensuring that the project is staffed with skilled local professionals as we intensify our efforts to hire thousands of locals. The center serves primarily as the recruitment center for the RGLNG project at the Port of Brownsville and includes a computer lab, orientation classroom, and onsite medical facility for pre-employment screenings.
City and county officials joined in the recruitment center’s ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“The grand opening of the new Bechtel Recruitment Center is a significant milestone for both Bechtel and the local community. This new center will serve as the central hub for hiring and onboarding the skilled workforce needed to construct the Rio Grande LNG project,” Cameron County Judge Eddie Treviño Jr. said. “The Recruitment Center represents the company’s commitment to attracting top talent and providing a seamless, efficient hiring process and symbolizes the economic opportunities and community growth that the Rio Grande LNG plant will bring to Cameron County.
