Rosendin Amps Up Workforce With 700 New Jobs in Central Texas

DALLAS, TX — Electrical contractor Rosendin is launching a hiring campaign in Central Texas to recruit 700 craft trade workers to build the region’s digital and energy infrastructure. The over 100-year-old company is hiring skilled electricians, general laborers, and support staff to build three data centers and a renewable energy facility.

The projects underway are in Dallas, Temple, and Abilene, Texas. Journeymen electricians and apprentices working with the IBEW can start immediately on projects that will provide a stable career for many years.

Rosendin aims to recruit Texans who want to be part of something bigger that benefits their communities. They are already seeing interest from journeymen electrical workers and non-union electricians who are attracted to long-term career stability, competitive wages, and health benefits for their families. Rosendin also offers on-the-job training and career development programs.

“We’ve been invested in Texas for over a decade, and these projects will bring another 7 to 10 years of stable work,” said Shaun Mahan, Operations Manager. “Now is the best time for experienced electricians to evaluate their careers because Rosendin offers so much opportunity to grow into supervisor and leadership positions.”

Central Texans will start seeing the company’s logo as part of Rosendin’s recruiting campaign, “Amp Up Your Electrical Career.” Local electrical workers will be featured on billboards, gas station TVs, radio spots, fliers, and even lawn signs, all extolling the benefits of working at Rosendin.

“Rosendin has been around for over 100 years because we value craft workers and prioritize their physical and emotional well-being through our strong safety culture,” said Paul Gottfried, Project Executive. “Plus, our work will benefit the community for generations. There’s a lot of pride in being able to drive by a project with our kids and say, 'I built that.'”

The Abilene data center project will include an adjacent renewable energy facility led by Rosendin’s Renewable Energy Group. Anyone can apply, and new employees will be trained on the job.

Rosendin’s Renewable Energy Group recently completed the Aktina Renewable Power Project in Wharton County, one of Texas's largest solar power projects, that powers 100,000 homes annually. At one point, over 30 percent of workers on the job site were women.

With offices in Austin, Pflugerville, Grapevine, Dallas/Fort Worth, and San Antonio, Texas, Rosendin employees have built projects like the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport terminal expansion and Delta Sky Club, infrastructure upgrades at Texas A&M and the University of Texas, Selene Luxury Residences in Dallas, and Del Mar College South Campus in Corpus Christi. In addition, Rosendin has been a long-time sponsor of the National Association of Women in Construction’s (NAWIC) Camp NAWIC, a construction camp for young girls, which was the inspiration for The Rosendin Foundation’s Camp Build program, a week-long summer construction camp for junior high students at locations throughout the country.
